List of other Initiatives taken:Schemes started by Indian Government

1. Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM)
- Provide free online courses by the professors of IIT, IIM to willing students.
- Rs. 10 crore has been allocated to IIT kharagpur to start this project.
- It is the mass-scale online open course platform would be hosted on a virtual cloud and have provision for the beneficiaries to get certificates following tests at the end of the courses.
2. UDAAN for J&K
- The Special Industry Initiative J&K ‘Udaan’ Scheme is to provide skills and enhance employability of 40,000 youth over a period of five years in key high growth sectors. The scheme is being implemented by the National Skill Development Council NSDC) and the corporate sector in PPP mode.
- The programme aims at providing the skill and enhancing the employability of 40,000 unemployed youths of the state who are graduates.
3. UDAAN for girls school students
- A mentoring and scholarship scheme to enable meritorious girl students to transit from schools to technical education
- Aims to enrich and enhance teaching and learning of mathematics and science at senior secondary school level by providing free online resources for all.
4. Saksham for Disabled Students
- Disabled students will be provided with a scholarship of up to Rs. 30,000 per year to pursue diploma and undergraduate level courses in technical institutions approved by AICTE.
- In all, 1,000 such students would be provided the scholarship every year. They would also be provided with an additional sum of Rs.2,000 per month for 10 months as contingency allowance.

5. Bal Swachh Abhiyan
- Launched on 14th November 2014
- To engage school children in Clean Mission Campaign.
- Urge children to keep themselves clean and their homes, schools and surroundings. Drive Sanitation awareness among others.
6. Swadesh Darshan
- For development of tourism infrastructure.
- Rs.600 crore allocated under the Budget 2015-2016.
- Develop Tourism circuit and cultural and heritage values in India.
7. HRIDAY (National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana)
- Aimed at preserving and revitalizing the soul and unique character of the heritage cities in India
- Part of PARSAD project.
- Rs.453.90 crore allocated by the Government.
8. PAHAL (Pratyaksha Hastaantarit Laabh)
- Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG subsidy in customer's account.
- Also appealed  to the people who do not need subsidy, can abandon it.

9. SAHAJ
-  Launched on 30, August 2015.
- Enables to register for new LPG connection online as well as make payment online.

10. Khoya-Paya
- A web portal for citizens to report children sighted as abandoned or lost.
- Any parent whose child is missing can report on this portal and information will be shared with cops and authorities in real time.

11. Nai Roshini
- Started by Ministry of Minority Affairs
- Leadership development of Minority Women.
- Aim to empower and instil confidence among minority women by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with Government Schemes.

12. Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Training (PMMMNMTT)
- Launched in March 2015 by Ministry of Human Resource Development
- To improve quality of teaching and education in India. 
- 50 centers of Excellence for Curriculum and Pedagogy with emphasis on Maths and Science.
- 5 Centers for Academic Leadership and Educational Management

13. Nai Manzil
- To mainstream Madarsa students through bridge course with the help of reputed Academic Institutions.
- To be implemented by Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF). 
- Launched in 2014 by Ministry of Minority Affairs
